Belterra works on implementing Agroforestry Systems (SAFs) in degraded areas with high operational potential, transforming them into productive forests with the aim of promoting sustainable territorial development, combining environmental recovery with income generation for small rural producers. There are different partnership models with our producers, such as leasing, rural partnership and integration, adapting to the needs of each farmer.

In the second edition of our Belterra 2024 Socioenvironmental Impact Report - September/2024, we highlighted the potential for increasing the profitability of properties with the implementation of SAFs, compared to traditional production systems. Investments in research and development, seeking innovative solutions for agroforestry production, such as the production of biofertilizers and the certification of carbon credits. In addition, we prioritize social inclusion and the appreciation of local culture, working in partnership with traditional communities and promoting the training of rural producers.

Belterra has a history of growth and impact, with over 4,000 hectares of areas under management at different stages of implementation and 249 partnerships with producers, in addition to 9 partner investment organizations. Belterra has a strong commitment to sustainability and social responsibility, seeking certifications such as Imaflora and the UN Global Compact and adopting practices that minimize the environmental and social impacts of its activities.
